Meet The Web Doctor
My name is Lane Lester, and I help people get better use from the Web and from their computers. Although my Ph.D. is in genetics, I’ve used computers a lot in my work, and I realize just how useful they can be.
How can I help you?

Want to Learn Some WordPress? I'll use WordPress software to install your new website. Although I'll get it going real good, it's going to be up to you to add content to it. Perhaps you want to get more familiar with the power of WordPress. If so, this website has links to the videos that will equip you: 100+ Wordpress Video Tutorials, from Basic to Advanced
Posting to Your Website In the past I have recommended to my clients that they use Windows Live Writer to add content to their websites. This is a convenient, easy-to-use, free program. If you install this, I recommend you uncheck all the boxes except "Writer" when they are presented.
I have just learned about ScribeFire, a plugin (extension, addon, whatever) that is available for Firefox, Google Chrome, and Safari. For safety and convenience sakes, I recommend that you be using one of those three browsers for your Web activity, instead of any other you might have on your computer.
If you are already using Windows Live Writer and are comfortable with it, I recommend you stick with it. Otherwise, I recommend you give ScribeFire a tryout.
Here are the links for downloading the Firefox and Chrome browsers.

If you run into any problems, let me know. I love to help people solve problems.

It’s written in PDF format, and if you don’t already have a PDF reader, you can get one free by clicking here. To get the ebook, just click on the cover picture.
